Since I was six years old, I have been doing beach cleanups with my friend, Ryan. My first time cleaning up the beach was when I fell in love with ocean conservation. Since then, I have done sea oat and mangrove plantings. Mangroves help make homes for smaller animals and prevent beach erosion. Sea oats also prevent beach erosion. Recently, I have been visiting local beaches and removing more plastic and trash than ever. Beach cleanups have been a part of my life for a very long time and I can’t wait to continue helping the ocean and including more friends and volunteers.
