My friend and ocean partner, Ryan Moralevitz, is an amazing author, and he has written two books about saving the ocean! We had an opportunity to go to the autism unit at a local pre-k and kindergarten class where we got to read one of Ryan's books about cleaning our oceans. The kids were very receptive and asked lots of questions about the ocean and how they can help. This was amazing because our goal with these projects is to always inspire other youth! At the end of April, Ryan and I had another opportunity to read to children with autism about cleaning the ocean. It was really amazing, and this class was so well-behaved and interested in what we had to say! These two events were some of my favorite things we’ve ever done in ocean conservation, because we were able to speak to young kids and inspire them to make a difference!
