Check out the new water refilling station at my school! My friend Ryan from The Fishes Wishes helped me to install it! It’s the first of 3 refilling stations at Saftey Harbor Montessori Academy. Another one is beginning to be built on the Pinellas Trail in Dunedin. Water bottle refill stations reduce plastic waste. It’s estimated that 80 percent of plastic bottles end up in the trash, only to be burned or end up in a landfill. Filtered water bottle filling stations serve as an alternative to plastic water bottles through encouraging the use of tap water and making safe water free and accessible.
